Not what I was expecting at all! I recently gave birth to my 3rd baby, and with the crazy busy days/nights there’s no “me” time. I’ve never been a person that loves working out, so it was easy to make excuses. As the days passed, I was getting more and more unhappy with my postpartum body and mental state. Finally, I took a chance with Turbo and my only regret is not training with Amer sooner. After just a few sessions with Amer, I feel like myself again. For me, it wasn’t just physically feeling better, but I am a healthier person mentally. I feel like a better and happier mom for my children and I have to thank Amer and Turbo for that! I never thought I’d step foot in a gym at 60, but here I am, and Turbo Personal Training has been a fantastic experience! The trainers are incredibly patient and tailor everything to my pace, which is a big deal since my previous “workout” was knitting a scarf in record time.One of the best parts? Each client gets their own playlist, and now I get to work out to my favorite 70s hits! It’s amazing how a little disco can make those lunges and squats a bit more bearable. Where do I begin?! I started with Amer 5 weeks ago and it has literally changed my life. I was not kind to myself during covid. I ate and drank a lot, worked from home (still do) so wasn’t moving around a lot, have a very stressful job and therefore, ended up gaining a bunch of weight. I tried to do the peleton at home, joined Noom to help curb my bad eating habits, and track my movements. I would be really good for a couple of weeks and then fall off. I knew I had to do something different because I was so unhappy with how I looked and I felt even worse. The gym was not an option for me. I have a gym phobia. It makes me anxious to be around strangers while I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing and feeling very insecure while doing it. Hence the reason I started down the path of considering personal training. I needed someone to hold me accountable, I wanted to get out of the house for an hour a day and I really really wanted a private experience. I have NO IDEA what I’m doing in a gym setting and it was a big reason why I never worked out before. Turbo Personal Training to the rescue! From our first consultation, Amer was very professional, respectful and made me feel comfortable. I was very honest with him on how new I am to working out and he was so patient and supportive from that very first class. 5 weeks later, and I’m HOOKED!! Not only do I feel stronger, healthier and am starting to love the way I look in clothes again, but my eating and water intake habits have drastically improved! I’m down from 3-4 cups of coffee a day to not even 1! My energy is next level, my skin is so much clearer, I am sleeping better and just feel so much happier. Amer isn’t a personal trainer who will just walk you through the exercises. He will check in with you, ask how you are feeling, ask about your diet, help monitor your water intake, help you with your form and answer any and ALL questions that you have (I usually have a bunch lol). He really cares about your overall health. Amer will help you make a lifestyle change which was what I so desperately needed. Now I laugh on my way to the sessions thinking to myself “I wonder what type of fresh hell Amer is going to challenge me with this session.” Lol But then I always leave feeling like the best version of myself. This experience has really changed my life, and I’m so happy that I took those first steps to challenge myself. You are stuck with me for life now, Amer! 💪🏼
